Tips & Tricks for Makeup Over 50

Hi! This is a little different for us, but because I’m spending more time in front of the camera these days, I wanted to learn how to get the most from my makeup now that I’m over 50. In this video my great friend and makeup artist Kristen Arnett teaches me how to apply foundation, how to apply concealer, how to create definition around the eyes, how to shape eyebrows, how to apply blush and how to apply lipstick. All the tips will help you to achieve younger looking skin for a refreshing makeover. Enjoy! ~ Lia

loved the ideas given thanks but I would love to see SOMETHING on PLUS SIZE LADIES

  2. I definitely need a makeover.

  3. Laura Pierce says:

this was so helpful; I'm 52 and need all the help i can get!

  4. Stacy Brewer says:

This was a great video! I just turned 50 and am desperate for makeup tips.

  5. Cee Ell says:

How about a tutorial for blonde haired / blue eyed women who are 60ish? I just did this make up and it looks so harsh on me, and I am used to wearing makeup. Great video and fun to watch.
    Thank you.

  6. Will this work on black person

  7. I loved this video as I am 55. Thanks for the tips and clear explanations and would like to know the brand of makeup she is using… I dont want harsh chemical on my skin either but it seems there is so little options out there for healthy makeup.
I would love to see more videos like this!

  8. I liked the tutoral..but honestly that makeup expert would have ticked me off with her comments..look like death.
skidding toward the grave. I mean really..do we need any reminders? How depressing of a lady.

  9. Meta M says:

Love all these tips but we are all different so what's good for the lady might not be good for me. I still wear the same make up I had when I was a teenager and you can guess my age now. I can't share it here lol lol but I think it all depends on the type of person you are and face you have.

  10. Seriously, you look better without make-up. Nice polished look with the make up, but you're a beauty without. Love those freckles.

  11. Sandra Sudek says:

I thoroughly enjoyed your tutorial. I am a make up artist who has been absent from the business for over 20 years having my family and am getting back into the industry. I'm 62 and appreciate your candor about learning to deal with a new and different face and learning to work with mature skin. Thank you for the inspiration!

  12. Susan Topper says:

Your tips are by far the best and most suitable for women over 50, and over 60. Thank you! It's about time!

  13. I love her look.

  14. Chris Dixon says:

Best video for mature skin…can you tell me what is the name of the natural makeup line please

  15. Linda D says:

  16. Margie Z says:

Lia and Kristen, excellent video! I loved it, especially how Kristen explained what she step on each step and why. Thank you! Subscribed to both your channels 😀

  17. Hi, love love the make up! I am almost 42 and I need help with my make-up. when I go to the shop for make-up all they want to do is sell me stuff. It's so annoying, I need some one to really help find the right colours and shades, also teach me how to apply.

  18. Thank you! I love this honesty, humor and camaraderie between real women who must look better, camera ready and confident, as we all must do nowadays (even farm wives in Saskatchewan!) Great tips I have seen elsewhere, but better presented here.

  19. Lora Aladdin says:

The makeup tips are quite useful. One thing to mention, it would be nice to know what makeup you are using.

  20. amanda wood says:

    You are both hilarious!

  21. Lily Frye says:

the makeup artist kinda looks like Karlie Kloss

  22. Linda Greene says:

What products did you use — moisturizer, concealer???

  23. Ginny Donley says:

Thanks for this lovely look. I don't wear make up too much lately cos my 'old' styles are so out of date 🙁 But now I have some new ideas – and a great excuse to go make up shopping!

  24. Great video. Thank you!!

  25. Can women over 55+ wear bangs?

  26. Beautifully done & her natural looks very natural, like it should. I would love to see more done with sagging eyelids. Unfortunately I've had those for years

  27. Judy Turner says:

It is nice to see older women wearing the right kind of make up. i enjoyed your channel. Please check out mine channel. Joyful Judy's Makeup Tutorials I hope you subscribe 🙂

  28. Actually she looks like no more than 42.

  29. Ellen Blair says:

I really want to know what the powder foundation was. Also, would like to see same thing for 60's. Very nice!

  30. Marion Cook says:

I really LOVED this video. I enjoyed the repartee between you and Kristen. I learned lots. I'm going to look so much more alive and youthful now! Thank you! Marion (only 65!) , Nottingham UK

    best makeup for 50's…

  32. beth bullock says:

I'm 62 and subscribed. I have very dry skin and I'm a strawberry blonde w fair to fair/ med skin. I also have lost most of my eyebrows. I use a blonde color for the eyebrows. And I have very blue eyes w a dark blue rim around my iris. I never wear black eyeliner. I wear blues, purples and have added a lime green. Please give me some age related help! I would love it. Thank you so mush. The makeup looks beautiful

  33. Where is the product list??

  34. Irene Rent says:

what do you recommend for hyperpigmentation
    concealer

  35. SandyD says:

Where have you been all my life!!! Love the way you explain things.  I'm 55 and I'm loving my fifty-fabulous years.  Thanks for the wonderful tips.  I learned so much today.

  36. I really enjoyed these tips, and teaching us how to do it. I recently turned 50, and having to read-learn a few things differently than what I have always done. I especially loved the eyeliner tips, and how far to go with it, and the eyeshadow. It does make a huge difference. I will definitely follow your channel. The 20 year olds tend to overdo a lot of their makeup, in my opinion, and half of the time, they look so much better with less. I wish I could tell them all to enjoy their skin as it is now, because it won't always be that way. Thank you for the tricks!

  37. chicky6three says:

Ha! Mouse pelts, not pellets. Very different "products".

  38. Mimi W says:

    GREAT Video! Thanks

  39. I have learned a number of tips I didn't think about – would one use similar tips for over 60?
    Thank you.

  40. maria korb says:

A nice useful video. Good on you for doing this. You seemed very nervous but the result was great! Thank you for this.

  41. alpha mare says:

AFTER makeup: i see very crepe-y skin especially under eye. Oily skin does okay with dry "makeup" especially if you're still getting zits. The moisturizer being massaged in first is nice for anyone, but not enough IF your skin is dry.

  42. You are so kind and fantastic
